* About baby’s heartbeat… We always check baby’s heart rate at the very beginning of your ultrasound session, regardless of how many weeks pregnant, but per AIUM safety guidelines it is NOT safe to use doppler or pulse wave technology in the first trimester to “hear” baby’s heartbeat, so we only offer that starting in week 12. Prior to week 12 we will simply view the heart beat (looks like a quick flash) and measure the fetal heart rate. If you want to record the sound of baby’s heartbeat on your phone or purchase one of our heartbeat recording plushies, please schedule your ultrasound session anytime week 12 and later.
